Forktale is a mobile application that provides interactive, AI-powered stories for parents to read to children ages 3-10. Stories are created using artificial intelligence and may include illustrations.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use Forktale. The app is designed for parents and guardians to use with their children. Children should not use the app unsupervised.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating child profiles.

Content

Stories in Forktale are created using AI technology. While we implement content moderation to ensure age-appropriateness, AI-powered content may occasionally produce unexpected results. We encourage parents to read stories alongside their children.

All stories and content provided through Forktale are for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit this content.

Subscriptions and Payments

Forktale offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Free accounts receive a limited number of stories. Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store according to the terms presented at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.

Content Moderation

We employ content moderation to ensure all stories are appropriate for children. Content that includes violence, adult themes, frightening material, or personally identifiable information is automatically filtered. Users who attempt to circumvent content moderation may have their accounts suspended.

Intellectual Property

The Forktale app, including its design, features, and branding, is the property of Forktale and is protected by intellectual property laws. AI-generated story content is provided under a personal use license.

Limitation of Liability

Forktale is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
